Weekly Happy List

Morning all.

I decided that every Sunday I'm going to write about all the little things that made me happy for the whole week. I know there'll be days when gathering my happy thoughts will be like chasing star lights to put in my bubble-jar - in short, it might seem impossible. But who the hell says impossible is unachievable? This is also my way of ending my week in a brighter note and getting myself more attuned to optimism and gratitude because as much as I hate to admit, I still have to battle with the completely pessimist side of me when things aren't turning as rosy as my surreal mind expects.

Happy List

With that said, here goes my happy list. BTW it's easy for me to write all these because I had a pretty spectacular week.

1. We had a double celebration of my mom's and my papa's birthday.
2. I finally, FINALLY got my hands on Jane Austen's Emma. I was completely freaking out inside while I was paying. ^^
3. I enjoyed a full-sized carbonara at Greenwich. ALONE. That means I'm really getting comfortable going out on my own and in a way it makes me feel grown-up.
4. My mom and I had a girl bonding over making the best chicken sandwich ever.
5. My mom (again ^^) surprised me with an uber gorgeous EIFFEL TOWER necklace. OMG! My eyes turned heart-shaped when I saw it because I'm in love with anything Eiffel tower.
6. I got to relish a bowl of fresh strawberries.
7. We ate lunch at my grandparent's place. Every single moment I spend with my grannies is unconditionally precious. I can't even put into words how much I love them.
8. To wrap everything up with a glittering ribbon, I'd gotten a great news I'd been anticipating for months! I worked and prayed hard for this so I felt like happy crying when I received the text message. I'll talk about it on another blog post this week.

I hope you guys also find time to write down (or at least reflect, if you prefer) all the things that make you happy - or maybe sometimes, the things that make you less sad may fit better. No matter how dark our days are, there will always something to be grateful for and focusing on that is what keeps you sparkling.
