Try to be more positive each day by practicing these tips:
Dump the off beam idea about happiness.
Being positive sometimes just mean being happy. Don’t wait for something to be happy. Stop saying “I would be happy when/if…” Happiness isn’t a future event. Why would you waste all the golden times waiting if you could be happy NOW?
Don't sweat about the little things.
Learn to shrug off tiny imperfect details. If you meet a snotty person in your way to office, try to just smile and move on. Tiny glitches are great way to practice our new "no big deal" attitude, guys. Let's do this!
Check out your emotions, babe.
Let’s accept it, sometimes we overreact. If we’re upset, it doesn't automatically mean our circumstances are tougher than the giggly girl on the next table, it might be that we just get upset easier. So stop howling for a minute and yeah, take a look at the real scenario.
Associate yourself with positive people.
Sunny people can brighten up your mood. It doesn’t mean you should run in the opposite direction whenever a glum chum comes your way (a friend in need is a friend indeed.) Just don’t let someone’s sadness rub off your joy.
Accept that life is not always a walk in the park.
Life is a mixed bag of highs and lows. Expect not-so-cloud-nine moments; it happens to everyone. You have every right to feel sad. Cry your heart out then bounce back stronger!
Raise your daily doses of "LOLs".
Heard about laughter being the best medicine? Turns out it's more than just a cliche. It helps us gain emotional, mental and physical strength. Seriously, it's got a mountain of benefits all for free!
Pray.
If all else fail, you can count on Him to be your greatest cheerleader.
At the end of the day, having a balanced frame of mind is still the best way to live positively. Let's choose to be happy and hopeful but also let's allow ourselves to bleed when we're wounded. After all, we're humans, we're born with diverse emotions.
Now, will you please lift that rosy little cheeks of yours a little bit higher without touching it? Beautiful. Will you do that more often?
